Colton

Well, what can I say about my little man besides that he is awesome! He has made so many advancements this summer! He talks so much, he is potty training well, and he is such a little character. He is really letting his personality shine through. With that being said......he still does Colton's stunts though! I have decided to just take a picture of whatever mess he makes, because at the time it is not funny, but later it always seems to be. By the time I find my camera and take the photos, I am already relaxing. I have included a couple pictures of stunts this month. Photo one is him is pouring all my splenda for my coffee into a strainer. This is my first of the new photo process. Seth was so confused when I said "wait....let me get the camera!" The next was when I was looking for him ready to walk out the door for work and he had put all my hair conditioner in his hair. He had to be thrown in the shower for that one and I was late! The next one was really sweet of him. He decided to make mommy her coffee before he woke me up. Mind you it was 4 am and I hear water running and what to my amazement is he doing but putting water in the coffee pot to brew yet my creamer and splenda (he could not get the coffee container open!) I walk in and he says "Mommy...coffee!" Gotta love the little man though! He definitely keeps me on my toes!

Tanner showing off her first sun burn!
What a wonderful staycation. It started off on Friday at 5pm! Grammy came to babysit and we went to dinner with friends and then went and dropped anchor in the lake and drank some beer and hung out in the water! Saturday, we had another babysitter and we went to Kevin's parents 50th wedding anniversary party. It was a great time. They had an Elvis impersonator. It was hilarious. Kevin put me in charge of his camera and I took 302 pictures.....never give a drunk woman a camera and say have fun!!! Sunday Tanner and I went to a wedding shower for Sara and then came home and we relaxed. Two late nights with babysitters made us TIRED! On Monday, was Tanner's 3rd birthday. We went to Chickfilet for lunch and then to see Ice Age 3 in 3D. Colton crashed during the previews. Tanner did well, got a little restless though. That evening we met up with Mike and Staci to have dinner at Double Dave's Pizza in Mansfield. The kiddos had a blast. Tanner made a little boyfriend, and Colton was a rock star at air hockey!! We adults enjoyed the beer so much we decided to come back to the house and have a few more. The girls had not planned to come over so they did not have their suits, but who cares....they are 2 & 3 so they did a little skinny dipping! They were so funny......Colton was sleeping! The next morning we got up and went to Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield. It was so awesome! the kiddos loved it so much that next year we are going to get season passes! Tanner was your typical dare devil! Wednesday, the kiddos hung out with their cousin Elizabeth all day. We did a little shopping and then finished the evening at the ball park with dad watching his game. Colton actually really enjoyed watching. He mimicked everything the guys did on the field....good and bad! Tanner enjoyed her first snow cone. They had sugar free ones! We hung out at the park and had some beers then headed home. I got a call from my friend from work that evening delivering bad news about his parents. His dad and mom were in a motorcycle accident on vacation in SD and his dad was killed and his mother was in critical condition. His mom is stable now, but has several surgeries ahead of her. I have been doing a lot of praying for is family. We are attending the funeral tomorrow. Thursday was pretty low key. We had to start getting things ready for Tanner's birthday bash on Saturday. My friend Cathleen came over and shared some wine and we worked on a couple things. Had a great visit! The kids and I went and picked up my Mom on Friday to do all the shopping for the groceries for the party. Mom came back and spent the night and Cathleen came back and helped with the prep of all the food. What a doll!!! Mom and I had some drinks and watched Hitch. It was fun. Seth went and did the guy thing out at the lake with the guys. Saturday was Tanner's birthday party. It went off without a hitch! It was so much fun. Tanner was such a rockstar on the water slide. After the kiddos went to bed us girls enjoyed hanging out in the kiddy pools and having some drinks! Sunday we went to Kole's 1st birthday party and got to swim in a REAL pool. Colton was such a little frog! He loved it and Tanner was jumping off of the diving board! Now it is Monday.....back to the real world!!!! Gotta love it!

One more day until vacation! I am so excited. I am counting down to the minute, second! I am so ready to get a break from work! I am ready for the economy to get better. Talk about drama! People are just crazy! I am planning a stay vacation! We are trying to figure out things to do in the Dallas area. We are going to go to a water park, Dallas aquarium, the movies, the park, spending time with friends and hanging in their pools! Sucks to have a pool the size of a bathtub!!! Colton is officially potty trained so that marks one thing off of my list to do during vacation. I am off today Thursday and have to work one more day, too bad! Coorslights are flowing! I have had a wonderful day! I shoped for 8 hrs straight. Bought a new dress, 2 pairs of flip flops, earrings, stuff for the girls bday and had lunch alone! What a day!!!! Next week is all about the family. Today was about me! Fun times. Chow until next time!

Thursdays

Thursday, July 9, 2009

Well, Thursday is my FAV day of the week. It is my evening off. Thursday is the night of the week that Seth answers the kids constant "MOMS" gives the kids a bath and I have some me time. Sometime I lock myself up in seclusion, most times I usually just mingle with the Fam and do my own thing. It is nice not being in charge all the time. I am kinda being lazy tonight. I have a lot of things I need to be working on like dishes, laundry, vacuum, bills, you name it. It always needs to be done so I decided to just work on things for my little Tanner bugs birthday! I love planning birthdays. This year is a luau theme. I got the invites made and dropped in the mail today. Party favors made. Now I am looking at cake designs and working on the menu. I think in my next career I will be a party planner. It really helps me relax and just focus on something fun. Well, back to me time! Chow!

Just wanted to drop in a recent pix of my kiddos. They are nudist. They have a severe aversion to clothing. Well, what can I say. They take after their mom! LOL! I have decided I need a new therapeutic outlet and I am going to start blogging. Thanks to one of my best friends I am getting my site pimped and it should look a lot more interesting. I am a little challenged in that area! I have been doing well lately. Just a typical life in my world. Life has challenges and the goal is to come out with your head on straight. Some days I can say I am successful; however, some days....well I just cope. I am such a blessed person. I am surrounded by such wonderful people. I have a small great group of friends. I really enjoy my family and live an overall blessed life. I do have my hands full though. I do not need to explain it to everyone though. I just manage what I can and handle it as it comes. Life was not meant to be simple without trials or tribulations. We are constantly having our faith put in check. I think that is part of the lords plan. That we are always made sure we know who is in charge. I get reassurance in that. Well until tomorrow! Fun times planned for this weekend. Will post pix when I get back!

Merry Christmas.........early!

Merry Christmas!

I am on vacation!!!! This week already seems to be gone. Being the holidays, there is always so much to do. We had my Family's Christmas party on Saturday. It was so much fun! We always enjoy having the opportunity to get together. I went to the Dr. yesterday and finished my grocery shopping while the kids went to daycare.

Well today is December 23rd and Christmas came early this morning! Seth and I woke up to Colton having opened up all but 4 gifts under the Christmas tree! He even went as far as taking the gifts from their original packages and had a screw driver and batteries on hand for the toys that needed it! I am normally a light sleeper; however, being on vacation......I guess I am sleeping better than usual. I had to finish opening the already torn up boxes and put them all in gift bags! Kids crack me up! Today we went to my job and then went to Target. Tanner was driving me crazy as always and when I got on to her she said....quote...Simmer Down Mommy! Words out of the mouths of babes! We came home and hung out and played the kids new game. We made Christmas cookies and the kids loved frosting them and putting on the sprinkles! I have a ton of sprinkles on my kitchen floor!

Tomorrow we will do our normal Christmas Eve tradition with Seth's family. It always proves to be eventful! The cousins really enjoy getting together. Grammy and Papa's gift was one of the ones that he had to be wrapped again.

Christmas day we will spend with the kiddos in the morning and then head to Forney, to my sisters for Christmas dinner. Christmas morning will be so much fun! The kids will love their Santa gifts!

We plan to leave on Friday for the deer lease. My best friend's husband is on Seth's deer lease, so we all plan on going there for the weekend. The kids just absolutely love being out doors. It will be a nice get away with my friends!

Back to work on Monday!!!!!!! Yuck!

Sleep Depravation!!!!

Saturday, November 8, 2008

Wow! I need some serious sleep. It has been rough in my house with the time change and all. Colton seems to want to party like a rockstar starting at 3 am now and thinks his sister needs to join in the fun. Needless to say, I tried to get the sleeping Giant to participate in the party this morning so the Zombie....me...could go back to sleep, but did not happen. Therefore, her I am.. I am working on Christmas plans and doing some Christmas shopping online. I thought I would include a couple funny things the kids did since I wrote last.... Enjoy!

Halloween

Kids loved it. They really enjoyed passing out candy so much more than trick or treating. Colton and Tanner would run as fast as their little legs would take them to the candy dish and jerk the door open to see what kind of surprise was waiting for them. If Colton thought the kids did not get enough candy, he would chase them down the sidewalk yelling " here more......." I think it kind of freaked the little kids out! He liked a little skeleton the best. He opened the door and said "oooooh scary". Tanner just liked the candy.....my little sugar addict. She enjoyed the costumes of the little girls I think.

This week

Been a little tough like I mentioned earlier. Kids have been a little grumpy, but all in all their cute little selves. Seth was at the deer lease until Monday so every time Tanner would talk on the phone to him she would say "daddy...you beer bunting?" Seth was seriously wondering what exactly I had been telling the kids he had been doing on the weekend. I just laughed. Tanner's annunciation is off sometimes and it is really funny. She is constantly cracking me up! The other day my stomach was hurting and she asked "mommy...what is wrong?" I not thinking of course told her the truth that my ovaries were hurting....so now everytime I make a face or anything she ask if my ovaries hurt. Her new favorite phrase is "whatever". Boy she makes me proud. Colton is having an infatuation with inanimate objects. He seems to love the car a lot this week. Everytime he sees it or gets ready to leave, he hugs it and goes "bye car...luv you". Wow!

Seth has been sick this week. He is starting feel better I think, but is afraid to admit it. He just might stop getting pampered! We really do not have plans for the weekend and I am so excited!!!

Well, the kids are still hungry, so I need to go get them some more breakfast!
